CharMaine’s Educational Guide To Revealing Your Beauty! (For Models, Photographers, And People-Who-Want-To-Look-Good!)
Instructions: You can teach yourself the power of the pose!
Find a private moment and take a look at your face in the mirror. Tell yourself: “I owe it to myself to know how to pose because society places a great deal of emphasis on my appearance. A photograph represents me!”
1. If your mirror shows you that you have a round or fat face, turn your head ¾ to the camera, not full faced like a covergirl!
2. If you see a thin face, then you should fear not facing the camera full on because it will broaden your nose and jaw a little! So, go ahead, turn more face to the camera!
3. If (or when) you become sensitive to Wrinkles and Deep Lines, adjust your position so you are in soft light. Look for light that shines softly at you, not at an sharp angle that will cause every line to have a shadow!
4. If you see a Giant Nose, then raise your chin just a little bit, but if you’re self conscious of a tiny nose, tilt your head at an angle.
5. Perhaps one of your eyes is QUITE a bit smaller than the other. Shift your position, and turn your head slightly, and point the small eye to the camera! Presto, it looks bigger! Of course, if you are the photographer, remember to point the lens and angle the face so that the small eye is toward the camera!
6. Pose for the mirror; find your best expression. If you hate your smile, smile with your eyes, not your mouth. Just try for a warm, pleasant expression. Practice your various smiles. Avoid a frozen smile, but know what your “good” smile “feels” like!
7. Find a trusted friend and a camera, and take some shots of each other without the pressure of a special event. Practice being your best you!
